Promoting Yourself

One of the best uses of video is to promote a product, service, event or cause as it can create powerful emotions within the viewer; love, hate, fear, anger, joy, trust, surprise, interest and excitment, to name only a few.

Using moving images, and carefully chosen music, you can stimulate these emotions in a very short space of time – perfect for an advertisement or a website video. Showing a customer what they can achieve with your product is a much better way of demonstrating why they need it over the written word.

Television is a perfect example of how an advert can create a strong feeling within 30 seconds. A full length film can take you on an emotional rollercoaster. This is why the number one choice for people promoting anything, is video.

What A Performance

Theatrical performances are one of our favourites. They always have so much colour, movement and sound, and are a great way to remember an unforgettable show 🙂

We have filmed school plays, dance shows, local amateur dramatic shows, concerts, pantomimes, original plays and even music videos (see examples below)

There are licenses to put in place when recording some shows, like PRS and PPL if music is involved, and you may need permission from the copyright holder (for published works).

Once these are in place, the recordings will be a beautiful memory of the culmination of many months, sometimes years, of work.

Eventful Occasions

One off, special occasions should always be captured to allow future generations access to, what is sometimes a historic event.

Recording an event to use as promotion for the next event, to add to an archive, put on a website or social media or even to sell to people who were unable to attend in person, is one of the more fascinating types of videography that we undertake.

You just never know where you will be asked to go, what will happen, or who will turn up. Some of our most memorable shoots happened at once in a lifetime events, and we were honoured to have been asked to record it.

Sometimes things don’t always go as planned. Luckily we have a good deal of experience and can manage to deliver a great video no matter what happens.

Educational Tutorials

Video is a visual medium, which is perfect for observational learners. Tutorials can take on the several forms; a person speaking directly to camera, sometimes while they are doing the activity they are teaching, other times you can have visuals, with a voice over, documentary style.

For computer related teaching, screen captures can work really well, as long as the actions to take are carefully hightlighted as the instructor speaks.

We have filmed full video courses, like the Ballon Twisting 101 course we produced, which is available for purchase on the internet, as well as short bite sized clips on a variety of subjects, that were destined for social media.
